Short review (to the point) Plugged in, powered up, and my Xbox lit green for 4K60 + HDR10 instantly. Apple TV 4K looks perfect. Auto-switch works; nice that I can disable it. Solid build, proper 18 Gbps/HDCP 2.2, no handshake fuss. If you need reliable 4K60 HDR across multiple inputs, this is the box. Long review: After two failed “4K” boxes that down-negotiated my signal, the Kinivo 350BN worked the moment I plugged it in. My setup: Xbox Series X and Apple TV 4K into the 350BN → TV’s HDMI 1 (UHD/Deep Color on). Powered from the included wall adapter. Results: Xbox shows green checks for 4K 60 Hz, HDR10, 10-bit in the TV details screen. Apple TV runs UHD 4K flawlessly; with Match Dynamic Range/Frame Rate enabled, HDR content pops and menus stay clean. No flicker, no HDCP tantrums, no color banding. Why it works: Proper 18 Gbps / HDMI 2.0 bandwidth, HDCP 2.2, and an auto-switch you can toggle off if a streamer stays “awake.” The remote is simple, port LEDs are readable, and the metal chassis feels solid. It’s not a 2.1/120 Hz device—and that’s fine for a 4K60 HDR setup like mine. Tip: Keep HDMI runs short and power the switch from the wall, not a TV USB port. If your TV has a per-port “UHD/Deep Color” option, enable it. Bottom line: Zero handshake headaches and full-quality 4K60 HDR10 from both Xbox and Apple TV. This is the one I wish I bought first.

This is a functional switch, the second one we've purchased for our expanding live streaming operation. Our church streams the services which sometimes include Zoom connections with other congregations in our region. The switch enables us to transition smoothly between sources, providing the appropriate source images and sound to our video switcher to blend with the in house camera images for as finished a product as our volunteer crew can assemble.

This unit shows no signal loss that I can see between the source and the display. This was a first concern for me. Second, it does exactly what they say it does...and that's part of the problem. I placed this unit in between Samsung components that support Anynet+ and evidently this unit allows communication from the display back to the source, which I didn't expect. Very strange things happened. Units would turn on and off when the port on the Kinivo switched, the auto sense feature would turn off one thing and turn on another. I finally had to disable the Anynet+ feature on the TV to get things to work. A slight disappointment since now I don't have the features of that feature anymore. And they are absolutely right about auto sense not working with Roku. Now, I knew this going in so the manufacturer can't be blamed for inconvenience here, but from an engineering standpoint, I think one of the ports should be blocked off from the auto sense feature so I don't have to get up every time to hold the button in for eight seconds to turn auto sense off. Would make sense right? If the circuitry can't accommodate units that always have a positive feed, make one port not in the auto sense sequence, but still selectable by the remote. Just sayin'.

This thing is literally worth every penny. I have recently discovered that an iPhone works quite well as a gaming console when paired with an HDMI adapter. Unfortunately, my TV only has two HDMI ports. One is fully occupied by the Sonos sound surround sound system, while the other was occupied by my Apple TV. My goal was to keep all Apple TV functionality while being able to easily switch to my iPhone for game play. Two HDMI adapters I tried failed MISERABLY at this task. Both of these adapters worked 100% of the time for the iPhone, but either would not switch back to the Apple TV, switched back only sometimes or worked for a little while but eventually dropped out after weird black outs that would persist. Another major problem, is that I lost the ability to tell Siri (via Homepod & Apple TV) to turn on my TV. I almost gave up before purchasing this adapter. My Siri commands to turn on TV through Apple TV (over HDMI) work even when the Apple TV is sleep and the iPhone is the active HDMI device. Switching to and from works FLAWLESSLY and there are no drop outs and no quirky behavior. Even though the manual says that Auto switching does not work for Apple TV here is what I experienced. When I unplug the iPhone from the dock connected to my TV, it AUTOMATICALLY switches back to the Apple TV. When I sit my iPhone back on the dock, it AUTOMATICALLY switches from the Apple TV to my iPhone. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. There are absolutely no flaws in this adapter for my intended uses. 5 stars all the way !

I will preface thi review by saying I had bought and returned twi other hdmi switches before landing on this one. Each of them had hdcp errors that would pop up with my system. I had made sure all my cables were great and to the higher standard even switching some out or in different combinations. The kinivo has been rock solid. Only once have I received the hdcp error screen. That’s fantastic news to me as I bought this to be able to use my Roku ultra and Xbox one s in the one and only high speed 4K 60fps port that our vizio tv has. Picture quality is excellent with no discernible degradation. I am very picky with my picture and enjoy dialing it in as much as possible. The remote is functional but very small and I could imagine it might be easy to lose for many people. Also, the automatic switch doesn’t work with the Roku but I knew that going and there is no switch out there that does as far as I know. It hasn’t caused any problems though so I leave it activated. All and all this is an excellent solution for me.

Firstly this price is pretty good, low but not cheap and in my experience low priced quality is worlds better than cheap garbage and this is definitely quality. The build is very light but sturdy with nothing rattling around or shaking and when squeezed it didn't give at all which in my book is pretty great. Functionally speaking it's exactly what it claims to be which is an hdmi switch with 4k hdr passthrough and i don't even know it's working which if it does it's job that's exactly how it's supposed to be with auto switching and no loud click that i've heard from other switches. It's small enough to fit behind your a/v setup but looks clean and sleek enough that it also looks good in open view. The remote is very small though i can't comment on its usefulness because i have never had to use it yet as the auto switching works without issue. I've had other switches HDMI and others and this is probably my favorite hands down. If your looking for a 3x1 hdmi switch i seriously doubt you could find better.

Worked good — for 7 months! Then it decided to stop working! At over $50 I expected it to last quite a bit longer! After all it’s just an HDMI switch, it’s not rocket science! Piece of expensive junk, now it’s in the trash. Buy another brand.

After purchasing PS5, I realized that my TV HDMI ports were all occupied due to XBOX One, Firestick, Genesis Mini & Soundbar. Fast forward, did an extensive search for HDMI Splitters with Automatic & Manual switch options, specifically between gaming systems. Kinivo is the one that stood out because of consistent reviews across the board. I purchased the Kinivo 3-Port and it works exactly as described. It detects both the PS5 & Xbox right away and switches right away. Very easy to switch from automatic to manual with the touch of a button. Also have option to stand horizontally or vertically (as I did in photo) - keep in mind power source is on left of unit. Would recommend for anyone needing additional HDMI ports and a solid splitter. Use it to connect my Xbox Series X, Xbox 360 PS5 and PS3 to my monitor, it recognises inputs straight away so I can easily switch. I usually put my PS5 into rest mode and that allows me to auto switch to my other inputs.

Me ha costado mucho encontrar un conmutador HDMI que soportase Dolby Vision, el control de dispositivos HDMI vía CEC y que aparte de la selección Manuel manual (o con el mando) de la fuente, esta se seleccione automáticamente según están disponibles o no los equipos (con señal de vídeo o sin) en caso de estar todos activos tiene prioridad la señal en el puerto 1. Muy bien ingeniado

This is a great little product. Our second TV did not have enough HDMI inputs to connect more than 2 units so this unit gave us the ability to have 3. The unit comes in a nice box with full protective packaging. A great little manual is included inside with everything you need from initial connection setup to functionality of the unit and remote. It also has instructions for additional features. The remote comes with a working battery so you won't need to run out and get one. It's a little on the small side but then again it's only used to switch inputs and it's clearly marked on the remote. The unit is compact, looks nice and lights up well so it's pretty easy to see the input selected on the front panel. Connecting it was so easy. The picture quality when switching from one unit to another is fantastic. I do not see any degradation at all, at least not to my eyes. In fact I thought the picture quality was better than before. This is truly a great value. Highly recommended.
