Cloud Eau de Parfum – Warm Gourmand Fragrance for Women – Women's Perfume with Notes of Lavender, Coconut, Vanilla & Pear

UPDATE: I just bought R.E.M. If you are trying to decide between Cloud and R.E.M., get Cloud. They are both absolutely outstanding, but Cloud has better projection. Apart from that, they’re equals in my book. Also, a lot of people think that R.E.M. smells like Cloud but it absolutely does not. Not even close. Cloud is sweeter while R.E.M. is more clean and delicate. They are both must haves. I do not get masculine vibes from either perfume. I wouldn’t call them “girly” but they are DEFINITELY feminine. I own Cloud, R.E.M., Ari, and Sweet Like Candy (I have Moonlight on the way), and Cloud and R.E.M. are my favorites. They’re perfection. In this review I’m going to talk about: -Who I see this would be good for -What season/occasion would this be good for -Scent -Projection -Sillage (often gets confused with projection, but they are different) -Longevity -How I feel when I wear it -Do I like it Okay here we go. For starters, who would Cloud be good for? I personally see this as a fragrance that will be well suited for anyone 20 and above. If you are a teenager, sure you can get away with wearing this, but I think you’ll be looked at like you’re trying too hard to seem grown. You’ll smell good, yes, but this fragrance is very much so out of your league. This is a grown woman fragrance. This is a “I bought this with my own hard earned money because I’m a boss” fragrance. This is a fragrance for people with class, elegance, independence, and a “je ne sais quoi” type of mysterious quality. Cloud is at its best when it is worn in Fall and Winter, however, this is also something that can be worn at any time during the year. This is not a fragrance that you have to put away. This is something that you’ll want easy access to at all times throughout the year. You can wear this on casual days, formal days, to work, to bed, to get groceries, to go on a date, to go to an interview, etc. This can easily become someone’s “signature scent” as it is clean, classy, warm, and welcoming. It is well rounded and extremely versatile. You will never be seen as inappropriate for wearing this fragrance, no matter what you’re doing. The SCENT!!!!! Upon first spritz, it’s like you immediately leave your body and enter heaven. Every time I spray it, I smile. All I want to do is sniff myself. It is magical, it is alluring, it is ethereal, and it is mysterious to the point where I really cannot tell you what it smells like in its opening. It simply smells amazing. This scent lasts for about an hour, and then you are met with a sensual, warm vanilla gourmand with marshmallows, but it is not overwhelming, headache inducing, or annoying. It is light, whipped, and airy. When I smell this on myself, it makes me feel like I smell kind, gentle, tolerant, empathetic, forgiving, welcoming, and also so incredibly sexy, confident, and slightly dangerous in a good way. This scent will attract many compliments, many double takes, many stares, and people will come up to you because you have a beautiful aura that is comforting and safe to them. Wear this when you want positive attention and loving hugs. Projection: (Projection is how far the scent reaches beyond your body) In the first hour, the projection is moderate. A very good moderate. People will notice your scent if they are 6ft away or less. It will be unmistakable that it is you who smells good. After the first hour, once the fragrance starts to become the whipped gourmand scent, this perfume becomes very close to the skin. This is a GOOD thing (with this type of scent) because it will make people want to lean in to you. They will be intrigued and curious. The scent will be more intimate and personal, like a cute secret that only you and your partner know about. When sprayed on clothing, in my opinion, the projection does not change. If it does, it’s only a little bit. Sillage: (Sillage is how well and how long the scent stays in an area after you have left the area) In the first hour, the sillage is stunning. After an hour of spraying and leaving the room that you sprayed it in, when you walk back in, you will smell it and it will be divine. After the first hour, the sillage is poor. Extremely weak. There is little to absolutely no lingering scent in the air. But this makes sense because by now, the fragrance has become a skin scent. If you spray the perfume on clothing, the sillage is much better. Longevity: (Longevity is how long the fragrance lasts on the skin or clothing) On skin, the longevity is outstanding!!!!! I get a full 12 hours with this perfume. Throughout the day, you might feel like the scent is gone completely, and then you will randomly get these bursts of fragrance that pleasantly surprise you, and almost tickle you. It immediately perks up my mood when that happens. Towards the later hours of wear, you do have to really put your nose to your skin to smell it, but it is undeniably there. On clothing, the longevity is a BEAST!! I sprayed one spritz onto my hoodie, and then two days later I put that hoodie on without washing it first because I had barely worn it that first day, and the scent was still there!! Not only was it there, but it was obvious!!! It wasn’t shy or light. I didn’t have to search for the scent. It’s like the scent hit me in the face. I was so excited. How I feel when I wear it: Important, special, refined, clean, classy, feminine, elegant, beautiful, sexy, kind, warm, inviting, mysterious, alluring, independent, confident, happy. If it wasn’t obvious by the 5 stars and the review, I absolutely adore this fragrance!!! I own Cloud, Ari, and Sweet Like Candy. Among those three, Cloud is very clearly superior, and this review is coming from someone who loves sweet and gourmand perfumes. Cloud is the one. This is a SAFE BLIND BUY. Add it to your cart now. I pray this is NEVER discontinued! This smells wonderful, very light and sweet. The smell lasts all day. I constantly get compliments on this scent. The bottle is beautiful and fully functional. I’ve ordered multiple bottles of this and it will always be a favorite.

At first I thought I wasn't gonna like it. The scent seemed too strong or masculine to me I was scared because I was expecting something SUPER feminine and girly. It was like a smell I couldn't understand and very chemical when you smell it at the beginning. At the beginning you also smell the alcohol. BUT that's Because I smelled it too fast when I put it on my skin, I mean just because I was excited. So if you spray it on your skin you should at least wait for it to dry a little bit first and mix with your pH and you will see the smell will be different. At least on my skin it was. It gets such a sweet smell. It's has feminine tones when it dries but I definitely understand why some men are able to wear it only if they like super sweet scents. When the times passes it becomes sweeter. and I got obsessed with it. I love it so much now. Besides the first chemical smell I got from it at the beginning. I feel it smells somehow like roasted Marshmello. My brother said I smell like cotton candy or like a candy🍭 but in my perception is a sweet creamy smell but with a musky or mature scent at the end. I think that's something that you should expect from this perfume, that it's not just sweet, it has some mature / musky background that you can definitely perceive and in the last hours it's like the last smell you get from it with a sweet smell, like a tiny bit of vanilla or something like that. It's not a girly scent at the beginning, on my opinion, but it's very sweet when it dries. I definitely see any age wearing this. After like 8 hours I can smell a TINY bit from it on my arm. But I think the smell is strong during five or six hours, going less string with each hour. And I think it last forever in clothes 😂 it's such a baby smell after. Like a clean one. Almost reminds me to baby powder, the smell I got from a shirt after a lot of hours that I sprayed it and I can smell the sweet pear a little bit after the hours pass by. The smell changes depending where you spray it. For example in my shirt smells like baby powder after a lot of hours. But I think that's because in clothes the smell only gets sweeter and sweeter . The first hours on my skin I love it, I got addicted. I think it can change with pH because I tried it on other people in my house and some of them took a nice citric side from the perfume. So I think it depends a lot from your skin

I put off buying this perfume for a long time for various reasons. My niece got a bottle for Christmas. I finally had to break down and buy it. It is SO GOOD from the very first spray. It is so light and airy yet sexy, uplifting, a little bit creamy and woodsy. I know I can't get enough of it. People say that it is a great dupe for Baccarat Rouge 540. I have both Baccarat Rouge 540 and the Extrait and honestly don't care for either one. In fact I threw BR540 in the trash. CLOUD does NOT have that saffron latex glove smell and BR540 is also a ghost perfume where others can smell it but you can't really smell it on yourself. I started with a sample bottle of CLOUD and that night I ordered the big bottle. I just sprayed by bedroom curtains with it. It is THAT GOOD!!! I own many different very expensive designer perfumes and this cheaper celebrity perfume hit the mark. I believe that I have finally found the one perfume that I want to use every day.

Perfume is such an individual thing! This is a nice perfume, but I don’t find it as sweet-smelling as many others claim. I purchased a small bottle after reading that Cloud is one of the most complimented perfumes currently on the market, and for the many comments about its sweetness (which I like). For anyone looking for a truly sweet-smelling perfume, I recommend trying Tresor (by Lancôme) or Eclaire (by Lattafa) Eclaire especially- it smells like vanilla and chocolate and I always get compliments when I wear it. Ariana Grande Cloud Eau de Parfum is a beautiful, cozy, and addictive scent. It opens with a soft sweetness that feels warm and comforting, then settles into a creamy, gourmand aroma that lasts for hours. The balance between sweet and sophisticated is perfect—not overpowering at all. I receive compliments every time I wear it, and it works wonderfully for both daytime and evening use. The longevity and projection are impressive for the price, making it an excellent value. Plus, the cloud-shaped bottle is adorable and looks great on my vanity. If you enjoy warm, sweet, and comforting fragrances, this perfume is a must-have. I would definitely repurchase!

I found the original cloud fragrance better after I left it to settle for a few days. First spray and whiff of it and it’s Awesome. But it very quickly becomes a skin scent and you go nose blind to it quickly. It’s not very polarising, so I end up very much over spraying to get that scent bubble around me. Thought it would be ideal for summer use but found winter better for some reason. In summer only noticed it on myself when near a fan blowing across the scent of my clothes. Fades to nothing on my skin very quickly. This original version is sweeter and more airy than the 2.0 intense. So I prefer it much better and can hardly smell the intense version. I use to smell the Dry down as being like playdo. But not now, so that could of been due to the very cold weather I first tried it in. Will have to wait a few more months to test that theory out. As that was the main reason I never wore my first bottle, until I tried it again months later. Then fell in love with it. I can only wear it for a day or 2 then go totally nose blind to it. So I have to switch to a totally different perfume before I go back to using this one. I’ve tried laying the cloud original over the intense version and the projection works no better. So I will continue to just buy this original bottle in future. Im not keen on the cloud plastic holders they arriving in. Bottle looks better displayed on its own. But the holder is a good idea to stop the bottle falling over. But hard to hold and spray on the biggest bottle. Displaying out on the unit with my other perfumes, I definitely prefer to take the holder off. I found putting the cloud plastic holder in a draw and storing my small perfume samples in it much better. Heard others use it as a phone holder. Which is great instead of just chucking them out. Out of all the perfumes I own, this is the one I love the best. Just wish it had that 80’s projection they all use to have lol. I hope they never change the original formula to become weaker else it won’t be worth buying. The price is good on Amazon. And just as well because the over spraying I use on this, I go through it so much quicker than my more expensive perfumes. I think this perfume suits teens through to any age. It’s sweet but light and airy. Not in your face florals which I’m totally not a fan off. And the musk is not heavy at tall, just clean and light and without any heavy citrus scent either. Cloud name is spot on in my opinion. To describe the Scent it’s almost like a sweet breath of fresh air. Also reminds me of fresh laundry when you’re ironing, when you get that cozy clean and bright but comforting smell wafting around you. Update: 7 months later this bottle still smells good and so does my other bottle that I opened over a year and a half ago. It’s still the perfume I crave and go back to. Never smelt the playdo plastic scent again. Sometimes I detect a faint strawberry sweet scent as well. But still that airy but cosy freshness. It’s become a firm favourite for sure and I already have a 4th bottle packed away as spare. As I never want to run out of this original cloud version. Also found a way to make it last and project even longer. As it’s a warm summer day out today. So without layering over in the sane place. But spraying my usual 6 spray’s on my t shirt and just one spray of my old L&G made in France (not Italy) which I don’t usually like on it own and never use to wear. I now get the slight Mediterranean scent then Cloud wafting scent around me. Which I’m still smelling on myself all day. By adding a few more cloud sprays after 5 hrs. But it could also be that, when I add more slightly different scent notes for my nose to pick up, they all stand out to me better. Conclusion: Ive changed my rating to full stars as this gem of a fragrance is now a firm favourite. The price is actually ok for the over spraying. Especially compared to my much dearer perfumes that I don’t crave to wear like I do with this one.
