If i used it to sculpt an armature for a mini and sculpt over with super sculpy, could i safely bake the green stuff?

Accepted Answer

Yes.  One of the reasons that Kneadtite (green stuff) is so popular for sculpting production minis is because once fully cured it withstands the vulcanizing process used create molds for metal miniatures.  also, a lot of sculpters who work in polymer clay, like sculpey, will still use greenstuff for the first coat on the armature wire because the sculpey doesn't stick to the wire and the green stuff does, it forms a bond between the two.

Someone has already asked it, but didn't get the proper answer for it so here it is again: how much greenstuff does this include (expressed in gramms)

100 grams total, 50 of blue and 50 of yellow. it is nice because you have no wastage wear thr two have interacted in the middle as in some of the strip products. the two tubes are very sticky but worth the bother. this stuff is good for bulk jobs and also for fine detailing.  overall good buy for the money.

Question 3

How are we supposed to open the product? If cut tube, won't that dry it out? My tube has one end sealed, and the other open -- is that normal?

Accepted Answer

You don’t cut the tube open.  There’s a cap that is taped on, which you do cut the tape.  As long as the two colors are separated, it shouldn’t harden.  They may shrink after time, but the tube isn’t air tight, there’s a hole in the cap for air to go in and out of.

If you left it alone in a hot place for a long time, sure, it may dry out, but if you keep it in a comfortable temp you’re fine.

Is it sandable  or can you file it ?
