BN-LINK Outdoor 7-Day Programmable Timer Outlet, 2 Outlets

I use these type of heavy duty timers for landscaping light transformers. I chose the BN-LINK because the other brand I normally buy didn't last more than a few years and didn't keep accurate time. The BN-LINK was also less expensive and has more settings. I plugged in the BN-LINK inside the house overnight and did the settings in the comfort of the couch. The settings were easy, intuitive and I didn't need to use the owners manual. Because it holds the settings in memory with its built in battery I was able to move it to the outside outlet. The BN-LINK worked well and is keeping accurate time. It's built well and seems to be durable. I really appreciate the large and bright screen. The only thing I would change is that I would make the plug into an angled plug. Otherwise this timer is a good value and should last many years.

It works just as I wanted it. Simple, repeatable, consistent.

I use this for my gecko’s heat lamb and uvb light. Easy to set up and turns it on and off as scheduled. Perfect for when I want to sleep in or have to go out of town.

I've been running a couple of these for about two years now and they work great. I have been using them indoors so I can't comment about using them outdoors. They have a AA battery backup feature too. We keep getting short power outages but sometimes we can be down for hours. That's why we installed a whole house generator set. It's a Generac 24 kw model if you're interested and we love it. These times also have a Standard Daylight Savings Time setting so they can auto adjust for the time change. I believe you can run up to 8 different time ranges but I'm only running one. You can also have it randomize if you want but I don't use that feature either. The good thing is I don't know where I put the instruction sheet so I did a Google search and it gave me the website of BN LINK. From there I easily found this model and all I had to do is watch a short YouTube video about how to set the time, the timer features, setting it to Daylight Savings Time, and how to randomize the timer feature. It's actually easy to program and the buttons are large and easy to see unlike some other brands of timers that force me to use a magnifying glass to see the buttons. I'm happy with these timers and actually came here today to buy two more of them.

For customer service, definitely 5 star, but for product ( reliability), maybe or maybe not, at least in my two times purchases of the same brand, here is my story with limited reviewing comments. 1 first time purchase is more than a year ago, bought one of their indoor timers, dual outlet and dual control model, kind of complex setting up, within a year it went bad and I contacted the customer service, and they promised to send me a new replacement, by then I hesitated and didn't "cash" the deal in time, I thought I could just tolerate manually turning off and on of my targeted appliance, and simply used it as a dual switched outlet socket plus a tiny clock. 2 After several months of laboring manually "on and off" my unit, I had a second thought asking them to honor me a coupon instead of sending me a new replacement, so I can buy their single outlet counterpart, this time I never get answers from the customer service, which i can understand, because, my act made me " cute and mean", but the truth is not, I'm reasonable and conscious Amazon buyer for years. I don't do naught stuffs to Amazon or its sellers. 3 And now I'm tired of manual-operations daily, so I want to give another try for this brand and ordered this outdoor/indoor unit. the setup procedure is similar, but simpler due to the fact of its single control ( just dual out) . So far so good for two days of ops, except tiny glitch is that I couldn't turn on that tiny LED reset light, ( according to manual PDF, you can use a clip/Sims card pin to turn it on by resetting.), not sure that's a defect of mine or this model designed like that, because my prior one does lit when you set it on and once circuit is off light off as well. ( that dual model have two lights). mine was broken for its auto on/off function, but does still work as manual switch ( with that lighting indicator) 4 I really don't have any real world experiences yet ( two days of ops) about this modal to make any informative comments, merely doing this for bookkeeping, if it's reliable and last longer than 1-2 years, I would be happy and update the review.

Well bought this one and it was delivered Sept 28th. Not sure if an Amazon item or 3rd party seller, but early this morning it went belly up. I use it to run our hot tub several times per day to filter the water. Anyway, it died, but not the display, all looked normal there, but it was not powering up either in timed mode, switching to AUTO ON or MAN ON. Grabbed my volt meter to trouble shoot, checking the outlet ,the built in GFI at the end of the spa's cord etc. Turned out the timer itself broke, no juice being output. Went into Amazon, to report, hoping on such an inexpensive item, they'd just say, we'll send another, just toss it. No such option, so asked for a refund, BUT before said refund will be credited, they must receive the returned item; so off to the UPS store next chance. SCHEEEEEEEEESH, all that bother for something so inexpensive. However upon seeing the refund, I will order another. Must just be a defective one, bad part, diode, whatever. Nov 1- Update, After getting refunded, I ordered #2. Now if you want one to run your old analog Hot Tub, to filter it regularly, because it may be too hot out and the water temp does not drop enough to cause it to come on, don't buy THIS timer. It apparently is not designed to carry the load of a 13 amp hot tub, even though it is rated at 15 amps. My second one did the same thing, display works but NO OUTPUT dead, now in the trash. Oh well, back to using my 13 amp OLD FASHIONED mechanical one :-). I have not been able to find one similar, a digital one that is rated at 20 Amps.

Great product and very well made. And easy to set up

Great product and a bargain. It works exactly as described for my pool pump. Last fall on September 6th I unplugged it for the winter. When I went to reprogram it on May 30th for this summer, I found I didn't have to! It still had the full program and even the time was still correct despite being unplugged for 9 months! Impressive. If it eventually fails, I will certainly buy it again. Highly recommended.

I just set this up 3 days ago, so this is an early review. If my opinion changes, I will change my review. This was really easy to set up with the little booklet that came with it. Set up time was less than 5 minutes for 2 program settings. I was looking for a multi-programmable exterior switch so I didn't have to keep my main step lighting on all the time, and I was happy to stumble on this one in my search. I like that I can have the lights programmed to be on in the evenings for visitors and delivery drivers (where I live our daylight gets reduced to 8am - 4pm), turn off before I go to bed, then come on again in the early morning for an hour so I don't risk tripping down my dark steps as I make my way to my car on weekdays. I also like that I can have a completely separate schedule for weekends when I don't have to go to work. I'm just hoping it holds up in the extremely cold temperatures of Eastern Canada in December to February, as well as the snow/ice storms.

The description of this device is one of the most confusing ones that I have read. The description says it has a replaceable battery, mine has a internal rechargeable battery. You may read it has a 18 inch power cord, Rufus will tell you it's 18 inches but it has a 5.9 inch power cord. I believe it's a quality device but it not what I expected to get. But I'm going to keep it to see how things go. I ordered a short extension cord so I can put it where it needs to be.
