Extra Wide Orthopedic High Seat Chair (21" SEAT HEIGHT) in Plum

I have MS and therefore spend a lot of time sitting. Physiotherapists and OT's have encouraged me to give some thought to the design of the chair that I use most. In summery it has to be the correct height and provide adequate support to my back and legs. After some on line research I ordered this chair from Cavendish through Amazon. It arrived promptly and was very securely packaged. Despite the absence of any instructions (there is one thing that could have been done wrongly) it was quickly assembled and put in place. I find it very comfortable and supportive, although it is not always easy to get up from it as the seat cushion has a slope from front to rear thereby one's bottom is below the level of the knees. this requires the sitter to slide forwards towards the front of the seat. The problem with this that the upholstery material is a coarse weave and therefore difficult to slide across. Visually this chair will not be to everyone's taste. It is large and a little "institutional" looking and the colour is not well represented on the website but it is well made and comfortable (just right for that afternoon snooze). I can therefore recommend it but prospective purchasers should not underestimate its overall size. Since writing the review my chair developed a structural fault. I reported this to Cavendish and without question they supplied a replacement - brilliant customer service. I can recommend this supplier and their products without reservation.

This chair was bought for my Father who is in a Care Home. It's difficult when you have to make decisions for others especially when purchasing something like this. I ordered the extra wide & high chair as my Father has Dementia & severe Arthritis in his knees. The quality of the chair is great considering the price & the extra hight & width makes it comfortable for him as he spends most of his time sitting. Its firm yet comfortable. I tried it myself & for one that suffers with back problems, I just might buy a furthr 2 myself. I like it that much.

I purchased this chair because I have back problems. It arrived promptly and screwing the legs on yourself is no problem and takes a couple of minutes. The plum colour is deep and sumptious and fits in with my decor. The chair is well made and comfortable but slightly high off the floor but this is easily rectified with a foot stool. All in all a very good buy.

The chair meets all our expectations for a chair that is very comfortable to sit in and the seat is high enough to get out of easily for people like us who don't find it easy to get out of seats that are low. The extra width is ok but as it happens not so important for us. Overall very well made and up to the job!

I bought one of these chairs two years ago. It was and still is perfect. I bought another one about 4 months ago and it is not as good as the first. The cushion has flattened out to about half its original depth and provides no comfort. The springs provide no support and sink down a couple of inches when one sits down. In the chair I bought two years ago you could easily stand up and walk. With this latest one you need to use your arms to lift yourself out of the uncomfortable sinkhole your in. Not good!

This chair looked good and the review said it was ok so i bought it. Sadly it is so hard like a plank of wood it makes me more uncomfortable and i get more pain. Dont like it and regret it so much.

This chair was ordered on Friday and received on Monday morning. It is very comfortable and the seat height is perfect (I am 5'4" tall). However I am very disappointed with the colour and the slightly wobbly screw-on legs. I was expecting 'oatmeal with a tinge of green' as per their description but this chair is definitely green, very green, and not as shown in the picture.

La entrega fue con un día de retraso dentro del tiempo estipulado, cosa que entiendo que es comprensiva ya que el producto viene de Reino Unido. El producto viene dentro de una caja de cartón bien grande y bien protegido. El producto es una especie de butaca bastante alta y bastante dura, pero muy cómoda, especialmente pensada para personas con problemas de cadera o rodilla, creo que el producto cumple correctamente con lo anunciado, es una butaca muy cómoda y mas alta de lo corriente, a mi parecer totalmente recomendable. Solamente hay dos cosas a mejorar según mi criterio, la descripción, en amazon.uk hay una descripción totalmente detallada cosa que no ocurre en amazon.es, y la segunda es que la entrega fue por una sola persona, y como es un producto grande en algunos lugares la entrega podría dar problemas, como edificios antiguos con escaleras estrechas o sin ascensor. Por lo demás un producto fantástico que me ha sido muy útil y estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.
