this is strong, fits perfect into low voltage "boxes" and is sturdy plastic. great item. It allowed me to pull 3 12awg speaker wire, 4 14awg wire, 2 power cords, 3 hdmi cords, and still have room for maybe 6-8 more cables.

This dual gang cable plate does the job of hiding your equipment wires behind the wall. It gave my home theater area a clean professional installation look. Installing is fairly easy long as its installed on the sheet rock itself. I encountered a few laths and that kindda made it difficult. Needed to cut through but once that was done, everything else was a breeze. Need the dual gang low voltage mounting bracket to install so make sure you get that too. Shipping was quick and easy.Happy with this product.

I bought TWO of these, and using the low voltage ring secured to the drywall to pass an audio snake to the adjacent room. These plates are of average quality, standard outlet/switch plate plastic. Generous plate mouth opening is quite LARGE and will easily accommodate TO 10 channel Multi-core cables along with a few miscellaneous twin lead speaker cables. Considering the average wall thickness is 3-1/2" to 4", Placing TWO of these plates, on BOTH sides of the same wall for a cable pass-thru presents the problem that you can't-mount TWO of these plates BACK TO BACK! Why? -Because they are TOO DEEP! SO, if you are going to use these in this application: 1. Check your wall DEPTH or THICKNESS FIRST! Before cutting any holes! 2. Cut your FIRST hole where desired. 3. Measure off the SECOND hole, STAGGARD AWAY from the firsthole. Secure the cover plate with the supplied screws AND DON'T over tighten the screws, Especially when tightening it down on an un-even wall surface! When finished, that 10 channel SNAKE flowed smoothly into the wall, just like a SNAKE!

I replaced two plug in style receptacles with these faceplate covers and longer cables. The face plate style would break if too much pressure was applied with these there are no worries as the cables come right out of the wall and plug directly into the unit.Plus these make everything fit better as you are not trying to force the HDMI cable to bend(90 degrees)inside the small wall cavity to fit the receptacle at the faceplate. These cleaned up my installation and simplified everything. Projector works great again!!!

Worked exactly as advertised. I cannot imagine ever using anything smaller than 2-gang unless you had some single wire with no plug, but this 2-gang was great for extension cords, multiple wires, etc.

The picture is a bit deceiving it looks like cheap plastic but once you get the item it has a much better look to it meaning its darker and glossy but looks and feels sturdy. It's still plastic but to me looks better than the GE white plastic ones out there.

Perfect for what we were using it for. Gave a nice clean finish to our bar area where we have a wall mounted TV on a swivel arm. Would recommend it!
