I have not, but I think these would work great, strong and just flexible enough while still being rigid

Do these meet the astm f2090 standard for fall protection?  we are in a municipality where inspectors require them to meet that standard.  thanks

Are the cords on these really 7 1/2" long?? That's way too much of an opening for safety, am I missing something here?

That sounds about right. Use it keep a pair of double closet doors secure. The cables aren’t too flexible so they are fully extended when closed and locked. There is very little give. You could mount the ends about 6 inches apart to close some gap
