Love it it's awesome and a nice feature
Good quality bit pricey but worth it. looks really nice and most important keeps me nice and warm. I put a piece of black marble tile behind the front legs to hide the wheels. Living room is 15x13ft and without turning it up to the maximum it gets warm and toasty within 15 mins . Really happy with the purchase and if I needed one for another room I'd definitely buy another.

Brilliant item - highly recommend!
Pro Looks stylish Really sturdy and well made Heats a room very fast Retains the heat for a long time after it has been switched off Runs on Flogas which is cheaper than calor gas Hidden wheels makes it easy to move from room to room Visitors think its a real log burner Great if you don't want the heating on in your whole house Great if there is a power outage you will have back up heating Cons Was a little hard to find where the battery went (instructions donโt show you) but we got there in the end It was 5 days late for delivery because itโs so heavy and the delivery company needed a van with a lift at the back, 4 times it was loaded on a normal van and 4 times it was off loaded because it was too heavy, so I had top complain to DHL several times before they finally allowed a van with a lift to do my route. Very poor service form DHL which has nothing to do with the performance of the log burner but overall was not a straight forward delivery. Cannot think of any other negative points.

As described
Very pleased with my purchase it has transformed our little conservatory into a sitting room.very stylish. No smell at all. Chuffed. Only complaint the seller could have included a AAA Battery for the ignition. Once in position and ready to go had to go to Aldi to get one

Good looking, efficient heater
Lots of compliments from guests about the look of this heater. I have to agree with them. Most people are very surprised when they realise it's a calor gas fire as it fools most at first who think it's an authentic old stove. It is very heavy but I cannot see that as a negative like some reviewers and the thing is on wheels anyway. Having said that, it is not the easiest thing to steer about the room but with some persuasion and experience with supermarket trollies, it will eventually go from A to B. If anyone is considering buying this heater with a view of storing it miles away from where you might want to use it from time to time, it might not be the best idea for that reason. Very easy to ignite and simple to use - there are two heat settings. Medium setting is totally adequate and at full blast it can only be tolerated for a few minutes as the thing is so efficient and the heat it produces quite incredible. Flames on moderate can just about be seen in daylight, I would describe it as more of a hot glow, much more flame when on full blast though. It also has a soft pleasant noise of flame licking around coals. As there is no way of telling when the calor gas bottle will run out, we've learnt our lesson and have a spare bottle just in case it all goes wrong on a particularly cold day. Installing the bottle is very simple although a fully charged one is heavy. We have a carbon monoxide alarm in the same room as the heater as a precaution (and from memory is recommended in the instructions) - there has never been a problem. It is also recommended to service the heater once a year. My only criticism is that I was not aware that it would be delivered on a pallet and the delivery driver, who was a total misery guts churned up my gravel driveway with his trolley in protest as I asked him to bring it closer to my front door. He flatly refused to take the pallet away with him. So one star removed purely because the delivery experience was such a let down. The stove itself however deserves a good 4.5.

Great looking heater
Sturdy frame made more stable by inserting gas cylinder.Back door a little flimsy and tricky to fit back on but once on does the job of covering the gas cylinder. Easy to install,as a first time user of gas I was nervous but it was very straight forward to connect. Not too impressed with the initial 4 hour high heat usage advised for first use for curing the logs, seemed a lot of gas usage in these difficult times. Usually have it on low and it looks good almost could be a proper looking burner, flame higher and more easy to see on other setting though.Heats the room well and the front bit of cast iron heats up so hot to the touch. That heat does not stay too long once itโs switched off but is a nice touch to seem more authentic. I like the look of it and suits my cottage style so the higher than some gas heater price tag is worth it to me.

Looks like a real log burner
This fire, is absolutely stunning. Made from iron, it's robust, elegant and effective. It kicks out a huge amount of heat without the typical smell of a calorgas. Comes as a full unit and just requires a 15k bottle of butane. A expensive unit, per se but you get what you pay for. I'm paying more for the unit so I can heat one room without having the heating on in the whole house, thus saving on gas and electricity overall.

Very nice heater - Looks great but the ironwork gets very hot.
The ironwork gets VERY hot and it is not recommended for room less than 64 cubic meters. That said, we think it is a very nice fire and the customer service from the Gas centre was excellent. We got this Provence calor gas heater in late September 2018. Delivery was quick and customer service to facilitate the delivery was very good. Having received the heater within 3 days of ordering we noticed how substantial this unit was. It looks great and is heavy. (A good thing in our view) It is a good solid cast iron fire. A week later we decided to test it and lit it for 30 minutes or so. There was no unacceptable smell and it looked and worked very well. After around 30 minutes I went to adjust its position and found the ironwork to be extremely hot. The entire front and top edge of the unit gets so hot it could pose a burn hazard. (If you have to reposition it (whilst it is hot) you might need to use oven gloves). That said it could be a good thing, because the unit is radiating heat into the room so you can turn off the gas and it still gives off heat for a good while. I would recommend it as long as you have a room large enough to accommodate safely.

Really good heater
We bought this to go in a large (22' x 14') conservatory. It replaced 2 rather shabby 2Kw electric wall heaters. It looks better. It heats better. It heats cheaper. OK - on first use there is some smell - but you are warned of this in the manual so it will only bother the illiterate who do not follow instructions to burn off the manufacturing finish in the coals and prime them. I would expect there to be both carbon dioxide, water and a very low level of carbon monoxide emitted - the latter being indicated by a yellow flame indicating incomplete combustion and needing attention. This is also covered in the instructions. However, I would not think it a good idea to have any form of combustion in an enclosed space without ventilation. This is covered too. Any criticism - yes, the castor wheel covers are silver and stand out rather alarmingly against the matt black of the rest of the stove - black Hammerite has solved that one! Nice one - friends want one too.
