Giani Wood Look Paint Kit for Front & Interior Doors (Honey Oak)

Worked fabulous on our front door! Directions were easy to follow. Enough product and all supplies were provided. I have got compliments on our front door since doing it. This is one year later holding up well and it still looks great!! It dried quick and I was able to do it all in one afternoon.

I’m honestly impressed with how this turned out. It gave my door a total refresh and actually looks like real wood, not paint. The process was pretty straightforward and worth the time. Makes such a difference from the curb.

I’ll be honest—I was a little skeptical at first when I started using this front door paint kit. The process felt a bit different than regular painting, and at the beginning I wasn’t sure it was going to turn out the way I expected. But I decided to trust the process and keep going step by step, and I’m really glad I did. As it started to dry and everything came together, the finish began to look more and more like real wood. The final result honestly surprised me—in a good way. Now my front door has a completely different look. It went from plain and boring to something with character and a nice wood-like finish. If you’re on the fence at the beginning like I was, just stick with it. It’s worth it in the end.

Before and after. Super simple process but took me about 7 hours total. No complaints, just can be time consuming. Definitely plan on getting another set for other doors in my home.

This was such a great turnout for such a simple process and low budget! Highly recommend and already planning more projects! The only downfall is that there was BARELY enough product for my standard front door. I only painted one side of the door and two edges and I was scraping the paint out of the can.

Trust the process! Was definitely nervous after I put the first coat if top coat on but I’m pleasantly surprised by how well this turned out for just being a paint. The kit provides basically everything you need. Love it! Wondering if there is a top coat recommendation to keep it looking great for a longer period of time!

I would give this product 10 stars if I could! This was certainly a "trust the process" process for me because I was so afraid of messing up a solid wood door. The previous owner of my recently purchased home at some point painted the door a coral or salmon pinkish orange color. Like this house was land mark for neighbors when giving directions because it stood out so much. "just go past the house with the pink door and turn left..." I loved everything about this house when considering the purchase except for the front door. It was important to me that the front door be aesthetically pleasing so I set out on a mission to find the best options and budget friendly ideas. And then I can across this product. I am not experienced enough in stripping paint and wasn't sure I wanted to tackle learning how to on this door for my first time. MAN!! am I glad I chose this and I will certainly be using this product on a few other pieces I plan on refinishing. The whole process was super easy and directions were easy to follow. I read a lot of reviews that said to throw the mitt away. I personally am glad that I didn't. It helped me with even application. I did however go back over it with the paint brush to even out the strokes. I am certain that the fact that this door was real wood helped tremendously with the wood grain look I was wanting. But honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better outcome on this door.

Not as good as Retique It. It is really thick base and stain. I watered it down to make it easier to apply. Not as impressed, but it's a good price.
