So it's safe to use drano granules with garbage disposals, but not the crystals?

I am not sure if this is safe for disposals as there may be plastic or rubber and as the product yields high temperature it may be damaged. But this works great in sink pipes. Works like wonders!

How is the cap used to measure ?

It isn't used for measurement. Directions state the use of a teaspoon/tablespoon, measuring cup for water, hot and cold

I have been using Drano's Kitchen crystals for decades since it's the only thing that works when the bathtub drain flow slows down-will granules work?

Interesting. Never thought to use it in the bathtub, probably should have tried but instead called a plumber. Hope it works for your tub. It ALWAYS worked in my kitchen, but now it's not-- for the first time ever (it's a building with ancient pipes), so now I've got to get a plumber again. Makes me mad because this product was the ONLY thing that ever worked in the kitchen sink. Guess those days are over.
