Super Deluxe CPAP Chin Strap, Extra Large

I’m a big guy, 6’2”, 250 Lbs. And I tried 5 different types and brands of head gear hoping one would work and keep my mouth closed at night. First of all, they were all too small, went I put it on felt like I had a vice on my head. What a headache maker. And although they look pretty simple in the picture because they were on a model, when you took them out of the package, you couldn’t tell which end was up and which end went on the chin and where all the different Velcro straps were supposed to go. It’s like putting together a Rubiks cube. They were all very thin, and some were incredibly cheaply made. The thin, tight straps left deep marks on my face. Returned everyone of them. I bought this one because the reviews said it fit a large head. And it does fit my big head very comfortably. The strap is also very wide, soft and comfortable. And it is so easy to put on. It’s just one strap and it stays on so well. I’ve worn it for five nights in a row, every night all the way through. I wear it with my CPAP and I need my mouth to stay closed so it doesn’t dry out at night… If you use a CPAP, you know what I mean. The Velcro is very strong, the elastic is strong, but not too tight. Otherwise I have it adjusted close to maximum, it looks like it should adjust to any small size just as easily. Wearing this headgear, and the CPAP… It ain’t sexy, but it gets the job done. FINALY!

I've been using a cpap for about 5 years, and have tried at least 6 other chin straps, some which worked OK and others that didn't. And let's face it, using a cpap sucks, and it's tough to get everything comfortable and working well consistently. But this is by far the best chin strap I've ever tried, and it made a big difference in my sleep. All the others I tried needed to be tacked down pretty tight to keep my mouth closed, but that meant they were really uncomfrotable, Pros: It's wide, wider than any I've seen, so it's more comfortable than any I've tried. It's also quite soft. Almost all the others left indented marks on my face, one was so bad it took a couple hours for them to fade. With this, there are hardly any at all, and they fade in about 20 mins. It's all due to the width and the softness of the material, I think. The 2 straps they include are great. At first I wasn't sure this would stay on, especially when you look at the picture. I use just one of the straps, around the back of my head, and it stays on perfectly. The straps allow you to customize it to your head quite well, and you could use the 2nd strap for your forehead if you want. The width allows me to adjust the strap perfectly to cradle my chin better. After putting it on i just pull it forward just a little so the front edge is wrapped a little bit forward of my chin, and that keeps my mouth closed with far less pressure than any of the others I tried. Cons: Not much really. It's a little bulkier than others I've tried, and the only issue is that when putting my nasal pillow headgear on over this strap, the velcro on the headgear sometimes grabs on to the chin strap so i can't get it down over my head enough. That's because the material is soft and "velcro-friendly". That's more the fault of my headgear, so I put a little tape over the exposed velcro pieces on my headgear... problem solved. I guess I could put the strap over my headgear, but I prefer it under. All in all, it's my favorite strap.

Does a good job of keeping my mouth closed comfortably. Does not make my face sweat (and eventually stink) like most others. Easy to wash & dry. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the 2 straps that come with it, which keep it from slipping off to the front) are too small for my liking, but was able to sew them together into one longer strap. Will buy again.

1. as other reviewers noted it chokes because the portion at the chin is too wide. 2. I cut a portion out to make remove the choke point and before i place the strap i put a handkerchief over the cut area to remove the irritation from the rough cut edge .. so the strap has a handkerchief between it and my neck 3. but cutting degrades the material and soon causes shredding and unravelling forcing me to buy another 4. but it does work, as with this mod i can get the strap to forcefully keep my chin from falling open the cutting and degrading forcsme to but a new one every 6 wks or so

This chin strap is way better than the other one I tried. It's breathable and very stretch. It's got a large amount of velcro so its very adjustable. It also came with stabilizer straps for the front and back to keep it moving at night. I personally haven't found those necessary yet. As with all these things, I think it takes a bit of wearing to get used to. I still find that I can only wear it for a part of the night. If I get it too tight I can feel claustrophobic and have to loosen it or take it off for a bit. I think the whole point of these are to get you back to nose breathing. At least that is my goal. One thing that might be considered a negative of this strap is that the velcro is very strong and I could see it shredding the webbing of the strap if it comes in to contact with it too many times. That's a minimal concern to me and I would rather it hold the thing in place than not. If you are in the market for a chin strap, might want to give this one a go. I'll be getting another of these should the need arise.

It does the job of keeping my mouth shut but does not work well with full face Cpap mask. It gets very uncomfortable for me after minutes of wearing it (about 30 or more) around the ears especially. There were no instructions on how to use it properly included so I had to go online to figure it out. As for the extra straps the one in front was fine but the one on the back of the head became uncomfortable and gave me a headache because I was sleeping directly on it as I'm a back sleeper. And lastly it started to come apart after 2 nights of use. As seen in the picture provided. I would be very returning amd can hopefully find something that is more comfortable. This search has been going on for about a month now. Good luck to you all.

I use this in conjunction with my CPAP which is set at high pressure. I had spent a great deal of time, money and effort trying every conceivable brand and type of chin straps for my CPAP and didn't find anything that actually worked. Everything I had bought before this chin strap would slide off my head at night, or were to loose, to tight, or would slide off my chin. As a last chance effort to find a chin strap that worked I thought give this big bad boy a try. It worked perfectly keeping my mouth from being blown open with my full face mask with the high pressures. I have to admit the strap is wide and covers my ears and fully covers the chin, which took some getting use too; but the results are great! I don't have to have the strap very tight, it is actually comfortable, I put the chin strap on first then the head gear and doesn't move at night. Another added feature is I no longer have those mask strap impressions on my face in the morning because the chin strap keeps the mask straps off my face. It also comes with velcro you can use to go across the back of the head or to secure the mask straps which keeps the strap centered. I have been so pleased I have bought several more for backups. This has been the perfect solution to the open month problem for me. If you are having the same issue I had with CPAP (the jet engine mouth), changed from full face mask to a Mirage Activa gel nasal mask; it has worked wonders for me. Of course follow your Dr's advice; what has worked for me may not be right for you. I have found this chin strap to work wonders and with a nasal mask my event numbers are almost to zero!

These seem comfortable enough but I'm returning them. I have 3 complaints: 1. Extra large should be simply be called large. I have a large head but not exceptionally large, and the strap is still too short. Won't work, velro barely overlaps. 2. I didn't spend more than 3 minutes trying things out before the fabric began to fray because of accidental attachment to its own velcro sticky material. This will not last long at all before looking terrible. 3. Unnecessarily wide. This is a design preference. But, I had similar strap in the past and cut it right down the middle and it worked fine and better. It frayed like crazy though due to same fraying issue just described. Shame they can't figure this out. Sizing and quality.

This is the BEST fitting strap that I have purchased. Most straps leave marks on my face no matter how loose that it is adjusted. This Primada strap is comfortable and leave no marks. It is to bad that it only comes in white as black would not show wear, and dirt as fast. Price is double the price that I paid for my last chin strap that I purchased at a local pharmacy but it works way better. I will purchase this one again.

Es buena, impide que se abra la boca con el uso del CPAP, el problema es que es muy caliente y es las noches incómoda un poco.

Purchased for my wife to help close her mouth while using the CPAP machine. I’ve waited for a few weeks to ensure the consistency of the experience. It’s working, comfortable. Definitely increased sleep hours. I read all the reviews before I purchased this product, my experience is matching all the feedback from positive reviews. Would recommend this product to anyone who had same issue.

Literally the best chin strap available in the market. Very comfortable and does not bother or disturb skin or sleep. Easy to put on and remove. Highly recommend for all mouth breathers wanting to switch to nose breathing.
