Thule U Bolt KIT for Box

This product works excellent with my GoPlus Roof Box (14 cf) and my Thule Aeroblade cross bars. The roof bar spacing on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee is such that the GoPlus mounts will not fit the Aeroblades bar spacing and it was difficult to locate a T-slot adapter that would be reliable for the size of the box at any speed. These U-Bolts work perfectly to wrap around the bottom of the Aeroblades and secure on the inside of the roof box with the metal plate and clamping connectors. I'm now able to use my GoPlus Roof Box without resorting to using my older Thule square bars.

Easy to use on a variety of cross bar shapes, very secure. Well worth the cost. I didn't need all four as I had only lost one from the original set, but luckily they weren't very expensive - and these knobs are actually more comfortable than the originals, so I now use all four of the replacements.

Ok so first off these are listed for a certain model of Thule, however, knowing Thule I was pretty sure the mounting holes are all universal for the company. Took the risk and ordered them for my Mountaineer. They fit perfectly fine. took me about 15 minutes to install. You may need another person to help you hold them still depending on how big your case is and if you cant reach to hold them yourself. but these solved all our issues. Thanks!!!

I appreciated the helpful reviews prior to ordering this. This set worked perfectly for my older Thule roof box and stock Toyota Sienna roof rack bars. My roof bars are pretty thin, and this set would likely not work for very thick roof bars. I've included a bunch of pictures for what's included in the set. As you can see, it's Sportcraft brand (apparently now owned by the Thule corp.) One caveat that made me bump this set down one star- The back packaging (see pic) shows installation with U-bolt plates both outside and inside the roof box. This set includes only the narrower set of U-bolt plates, and the installation instructions included shows installation with plates only inside the box. That's a bit confusing for one, and two it would seem to make sense that having both internal and external U-bolt plates would make the mounting hold stronger and safer. I already had external U-bolt plates from a previous set that I added to this set when I mounted my box, so this hardware set fit my needs perfectly. But, if I didn't- I would order the Thule Replacement Parts Bag Hardware 05603 instead which includes 4 outer U-bolt plates as well as the 4 inner ones.

Was a little nervous getting these after reading some reviews. They worked perfect. Have an older Thule ski carrier that was made to fit the old square bars. These bolted on fine with enough clearance to go around the new fatter bars. I did have to drill a new hole through the plastic carrier because the older brackets were so much more narrow.

I purchased a used Yakima Rocketbox last Spring and it didn't come with great mounting hardware. After ordering from eTrailer and never receiving my product, I searched high and low for some quality mounting hardware that would fit my box. I was thrilled yesterday when I put my cargo box on my trailblazer and it fit perfectly! Look no further. Perfect width and height and installed in less than 20 minutes.

Simple and easy to follow instructions. This is so much better than using straps. It held my roof top carrier which weighed over 100 lbs over 1500 miles with no problems and never even came loose. I checked at every rest stop that we stopped at just in case. The only problem is that my roof top carrier has a hinge on one side which made it difficult to reach and attach the fasting nuts but I was able to do so after a bit of creative maneuvering of my ladder. A taller person with a ladder might not have such a hard time. Overall, this product served me well and I would recommend it.

I lost my U bolts to my car top carrier and was thrilled to see a replacement for them. They fit perfectly for my cross rails. But good to read other reviews that describe the length to make sure they fit your cross rails with enough space to screw the black screw part in.

This is top-quality brackets to attach most anything to your airstreamed cross bars, like the Thule Aerobars. They are wide and deep enough to attach large items like cargo baskets. The knobs are solid and large enough to offer a good grip. Note that they don't lock, which might deter some buyers. However, there are locking knobs available for separate purchases.
