Finally got him!
Ever since I began my AoE Dinobots collection, I have been dying to get this one since he's so hard to find at my local Target or Wal-Mart. Snarl is easily one of the best, if not THE best, looking Dinobot out of the 7 in the toy line. The color scheme used for him suits him well: mainly green with purple, and some areas that are a black/gray color. The spines are a clear translucent, with a shade of yellowish green to them. Both his Dino and Robot modes look absolutely beautiful. Out of all the Dinobots, it looks like his head sculpt has the least amount of knight influence to it; the others had head sculpts that were clearly inspired by knight's helmets from Medieval times, plus his is also the most menacing looking as well. A thing to note is that when you transform him from dino to robot mode, his dino mode head flips to become part of his leg but there's also another whole head on the other leg as well (this one isn't moveable at all). To me that seems weird, it looks odd. Personally, I would've preferred his dino head split in two (like Slug's, Grimlock's, & Slash's) for the transformation. That way it looks more flush, it just looks weird when he has two heads on his legs like that. One MAJOR nitpick that I do have against this figure is the wrist joints. When Hasbro finally decides to give one of their Dinobots wrist articulation, they decide to do THIS. His wrists angle up to a 90 degree angle parallel to his shoulder! It just looks ugly. Although he does have a bicep swivel (which is good), the wrist joints take away "cool points" from the figure. Whoever at Hasbro thought that this was a good idea is clearly on drugs because it is horrendous! However, this should not be enough to deter you from getting this figure. Overall, it's a great one, and with him in the mix I finally completed my AoE Dinobots collection. If you love the Dinobots or Transformers in general, get him while you can. He is a great add to any Transformers collection.

Does the G1 Snarl justice
This is one of my favorite of the Age of Extinction Dinobots. The color scheme is great (my two favorite colors, so I might be biased here). transformation is fun and he has some nice details. You might wonder, though, at why he has another dino head in his other leg...I have no answer for you...maybe for aesthetic? All-in-all, a worthy purchase. Any kid that likes robots/dinosaurs, or any combination thereof, will love this guy! As an adult collector, I can't recommend him enough.

GREAT TOY! MY SON LOVES IT!
I bought this for my 4 year old son who I assumed would have had a problem assembling and disembelling it... boy was I WRONG!!!! I read the reviews of Everyone complaining on how difficult it is.., my son ACED IT! He LOVES it! Great transformer and it has a look like no other transformer in the market... it is a bit challenging but you can indeed figure it out w/o reading instructions too. 😉

Robot mode is meh Alt mode is where its at!
Snarl has an amazing alt or "dino" mode as a stegosaurus. The green translucent spines are simply awesome unfortunately the two that make up his axe have a hard time staying put at the top. As a dinosaur, Snarl looks simply awesome and this is the mode he is displayed in. Transformation is simple enough and shouldn't give young children too much trouble I would imagine. Robot mode is okay, but it does have some major flaws, namely the hands. The wrists are forever in an awkward broken state and this makes posing Snarl a challenge. Additionally the spikes on the shoulders and back are very distracting and a bit hindering to articulation. The feet are cool (I care a lot about transformers feet because it means a lot for posing and standing) but are sadly one of the best features in robot mode. The legs are bulky but acceptable for the simplicity of transformation. Why is there a second, immovable dinosaur head stashed in his right leg? Symmetry? Alt Mode- 4/5 Transforming- Easy enough Robot mode 2/5 Overall 3/5

Nice!
Nice! Great quality, not made if the "inexpensive" plastic that some of these are made from. 4 year old really enjoyed receiving this as a gift! Is a bit advanced for him, but he's learning and will have it figured out soon enough. Really appreciate the reasonable price, too! According to my 15 year old, this particular Snarl is difficult to find and may be rare? I'm naïve about Transformers, so I'm not sure how true this is. But both kids really enjoy this one!

Some limitations, but alright
It came at a good time, looks really cool, but his tail and spike don't stick on while in dino mode, also, once he is in robot mode all of his "armor" make it quite difficult to pose, his hands are pretty awkward facing up. None the less cool toy

good for kids who like puzzles -- more steps to transform
My son loves this. It takes him longer to transform, but it looks great. I like that there are more steps so it is like a puzzle. He is five and it seemed pretty good for him...he loves puzzles and transformers.

Cool thought
Very cool concept but this design specifically is very difficult to transform back and forth, also parts keep falling off.

Great figure
