Great set to try some Tokyo Milk perfumes!
I have wanted to try Tokyo Milk perfumes for a long time and when I saw this discovery set, I had to have it. I wish Tokyo Milk made more discovery scents for the rest of their collection. My reviews for each scent are below, though keep in mind that perfume plays differently on everyone's skin and everyone has a difference preference for scents. :) 10 Honey & The Moon (Notes: Sweet Honey, Sugared Violet, Jasmine, Sandalwood): If you love the scent of honey, get this! I am considering buying a full bottle after I finish this sample size. It smells exactly like honey, not too floral either. I do want to try layering this with other perfumes because I find the scent kind of simple and won't complicate the perfume with too many notes. 15 French Kiss (Notes: Mandarin, Tuberose, Gardenia, Vetiver): It is a nice floral perfume. I'm more into gourmand or fruity florals than a perfume consisting of mostly florals, but I do like these florals so if you also like the same flowers you may enjoy this perfume. 12 Gin & Rosewater (Notes: Citrus Zest, Rosewood, Mimosa, Mandarin): I was expecting a citrus and rose scent perfume, but the rosewood is overpowered by all the citrus scents in this perfume. I don't detect rose from the rosewood at all. Maybe rosewood is very weak on my skin. I do love citrus so I don't mind missing the rose note. 09 Kabuki (Notes: Lychee, Sugared Grapefruit, Sweet Jasmine, Warm Vanilla): This is the most interesting and unique perfume for me. Maybe I haven't smelled lychee that much in perfumes. The lychee is very sweet and candy-like smelling. Then I can't pinpoint what, but I think the sugared grapefruit kind of tones the lychee sweetness down for me and almost gives it a powdery/medicinal smell on my skin? Not what I expected grapefruit to smell like. I can't decide if I love this perfume or I love how unique it is from the rest of my collection. 06 Dead Sexy (Notes: Deep Vanilla, Exotic Wood, White Orchid, Ebony): This is the first perfume I saw from Tokyo Milk when I discovered them and had higher hopes for it, but it smell on my skin as I expected. For all other perfumes in this collection, I typically pick up the notes in the order they are written in the box, but for Dead Sexy I smelled the Vanilla at the very end. I also expected to smell the Vanilla throughout the perfume, but I can only smell it at the end. I'm not sure if the woods are overpowering or the vanilla doesn't appear until later. I have tried other perfumes focusing on woods, so it may just be my skin makes wood scents very strong. This perfume comes off very strong, smoky, and woody on me. I've played violin and I expected "woody" to smell like a wooden instrument or the wood of a pencil, but it smells very smoky on me, too strong and masculine. I can see this as a unisex and even masculine perfume, but really I think all perfume is unisex if you love it. When the vanilla comes out, I love it. I personally wish the woods would be toned down and the vanilla amped up on my skin, because I would buy it for the vanilla scent. It ends in a soft, delicious scent. I understand why some people in the reviews that don't typically love floral, or sweet perfume that is marketed toward women would love this. If you are into more masculine leaning and heavy scents, this may one you want to try! 11 Let Them Eat Cake (Notes: Sugar Cane, Coconut Milk, White Musk): I loved this perfume more than Dead Sexy, but sweets are more to my taste than a heavy, smoky, and slightly choking me perfume (though maybe I have a sensitivity to scents). If you don't like sweets it may be too sweet, and the sugar cane is really making it sweet. I do wonder if pairing this with Dead Sexy would make Dead Sexy more comfortable for me to wear.

Nice selection of fragrances, generous trial sizes.
I love these fragrances and this was a great way to try six different ones without committing to a full-size bottle. Included bottles are generously sized, much bigger than standard sample sizes. All the fragrances are interesting and I like them, Iโm not sure about their lasting power, and it would be nice to have the ability to spray a fine mist. The application of the product is not as easy as it would be with any kind of spray or even a roller ball. You just opened the bottle and thereโs liquid fragrance inside so you have to be careful not to pour out too much. I think I would like these fragrances and some sort of oil suspension with a roller ball more, for an eau de parfum I feel theyโre lasting power is not as good as I would have expected. More like an eau de toilette. Still a nice way to try the different fragrances and this brand is definitely interesting unique. Just would also make a nice gift. The bottles are attractive and have unique graphic design.

Very nice sampler , impressive scents !
The scents on these are incredible. Honey and the moon I keep smelling myself when I have it on and itโs such a nice honey smell, not overpowering but not so little that itโs not there. Also let them eat cake is such an amazing gourmand I think I will buy the full size of it . Gin and rose water is incredibly fresh and would be such a great summer scent as well. The only one that really wasnโt great for me was the dead sexy , I really only could smell the alcohol. The only complaint I have about the packaging is that theyโre not in little spray bottles, itโd just make application a little easier . But they are so beautiful in their mini bottles .

So Worth It!
I was having a hard time deciding which scent to go for in the full size and didnโt want to go in blind, so I went for the sampler! Let me tell you, I love almost all of these. And one is my new favorite smell ever! 1. Kabuki - my favorite! Iโm obsessed! Iโll be getting the full size of this one. Best way I can describe it is a fresh clean powder, and it smells how juicy fruit gum tastes. Itโs very sweet but also not overpowering. 2. Honey and the Moon - my next favorite. No way to describe this other than it literally smells like honey. Not icky artificial honey smell, like it actually smells like a chunk of honeycomb. 3. Dead sexy - I also really like this one. Itโs definitely got the vanilla smell but itโs way more woody and musky. Also for some reason it vague reminds me of old doll plastic, and I mean that in the best way possible. Itโs gotten several compliments already. 4. Savage Belle - this one I wonโt wear too often because it smells FANCY. This reminds me of one of my grandmaโs old perfumes from when I was a kid going through her powder room. Itโs elegant and very classy but also something Iโd only wear to a nice dinner out. 5. Gin and Rosewater - Very citrusy. Reminds me of an old mandarin orange body spray I used to have. Very clean and zesty. Iโm not a huge citrus scent person so itโs not my favorite, but I can see others loving this one. 6. Let them eat cake- this is the only one I donโt care for. It literally just smells like warm vanilla sugar. I sniffed this and then my body spray and they smell nearly identical. If youโre going to drop 58 bucks on a full sized bottle of perfume, Iโd recommend one of the other more unique smells. Thereโs nothing offensive about this one, it just smells generic. Hope this helps!

Smell Great, Small Issue
I was really excited to smell these, the only bad thing was that one seemed to have spilled some. I wish I would have gotten a full sample set.

Outstanding fragrances
Just wrote a long review but I must have touched something and then it flew away... These are very nice fragrances with unique personalities and wonderful scents. I really liked all of them except for the Gin and Rosewater, which could have been a very nice citrus type perfume, but a few minutes after applying it, this very odd fish note appears out of nowhere! I don't know if that note is supposed to be the gin part, but it really clashes with the rest of it, and wrecks the whole thing. The others are really nice, though Dead Sexy and Let Them Eat Cake are rather faint, but really pretty. Honey and the Moon is a very interesting burnt suger tropical scent, it's very nice. I love the Kabuki, it's like a tropical citrus vanilla, very warm and unique. Those last 2 are my favorite. The French Kiss is also very nice. I really had no idea what to expect when I bought this, but I hit the perfume jackpot with this set because I like most all of them very much. The packaging is great, the bottles are well labeled letting you know what notes are in each one. All in all it's a great buy!

Most are hits, but a few misses.
My favorite scents are, in order, : Savage Belle, Dead Sexy, Let Them Eat Cake, and Gin & Rosewater. I waver on Kabuki because when I dab it on my skin, the first note is a peculiar plastic bottle like odor, and I really don't like it. However, after a few hours, it mellows and becomes very pleasant. Gin & Rosewater, as several customers have commented, has similar problem. I had expected Gin and Rosewater to carry a juniper note, since gin is traditionally flavored with juniper berries, but it's actually alcoholic smelling. It too mellows after a few hours on the skin. The one scent I don't like is Honey & The Moon because it is overpoweringly smelling of honey to the point where it's really cloying.
