Excellent tire
Excellent tire, used primarily on road, and some light off road. Great grip, no pieces falling off, does not lose air. I've hit quite a few potholes, some really hard hits and it has survived. It has 30k kilometers on a KTM adv 250 as seen in the picture rubber looks really great after one year. I will be ordering the same one again!

Great tire
I bought these tires for my Versys 300. These are like a more aggressive version of the IRC's that come with the bike. They grip well in conditions that these bikes were designed to encounter and they will last a long time. My previous set of tires were Shinko 804/805's and they lasted 15,000 miles. Don't be afraid of the low price.

Great price with a less than spectacular ride quality.
I have only ever used Shinko brand tires on my Kawasaki Versys, and have always had good ride quality and a decently long lasting tire (around 9k miles on a set). Every Shinko tire I've had up until this one has had a surprisingly smooth ride quality. This tire for some odd reason just doesn't ride as well. I am still satisfied with the quality, grip, trustworthy name brand, and tread life; I will just make sure to spend a little bit more money next time for hopefully a smoother riding tire.

Shinko 705 greatest do-all dual sport tire
I bought this tire to replace another 705 that is getting worn out on my klr650. My 705s have seen approximately 90% road use in the hills of WV. The other 10% has mostly been fire road and access road usage around the Mon forest and back roads. My experience as it relates to this review is that I have done GNCC racing, track days on my r1, and international cross country trips on a st1300. On dry pavement, the tire is confidence inspiring to the point that I have carved turns where the feelers of the pegs have touched pavement (no easy feat on the klr). I have had no slippage with the 705s on pavement. Even when it is hot out, the tires never feel greasy. On wet pavement, the tires do well. They channel water well and I have never had occasion to feel as though I was going to lose traction in the straights. In turns, when I am a little to hot on the exit, I can feel a controlled slide out of the tire. This is not a bad thing. I knew that I was pushing the tire and compared to a more knobby tire (which can have a uh-oh feel when it breaks traction) this tire worked great. In deep gravel, I am sure that a knobby would track better, but the 705 worked well and although I had to slow way up for turns, there was not the back and forth wishy-washy feel of a sport bike tire. The tire brakes well in deep gravel as well. There is some instability in the turns on deep gravel. For hard pack gravel- other than turns- I can ride at freeway speeds. Turns are stable. Avoidance maneuvers (for animals, rock rises in the hardpack, deep gravel center humps) are easily accomplished. I have taken the tires in sand close to the swing arm height and been able to tractor through (although there probably was a solid base to grab on to). I can drive up steep inclines in wet grass without having to worry about getting stuck(the tires will spun for traction though). Basically this is, for me, the go-to tire for my dual sport adventures. I like to ride fast to get to my destination areas and then be able to venture off for off-the-beaten path fun. This tire has not let me down. My rear tire is at the wear bars at ~1600 miles. I attribute this mileage to aggressive riding. I have no doubt that double that mileage would be possible for a more conservative rider. For the traction the tires give (for the riding I do) and for the price line of the 705s, these tires are unbeatable to any other I have tried. If I were to do desert riding or we're to be taking a long off-road trip, I would spoon on a knobby and this would not be the tire of choice. But, even if I were to commute 100% on road, I would choose this tire.

quality is high
I got this installed on my 2024 klr650, I ride primarily on road, but I do go off road a bit, and gravel roads that have pot holes/washboarding. 10/10 tire. arrived in a timely manner, and seems like a very high quality tire for the price. I will be saving this for future purchases.

Excellent value
If you use your bike primarly on road with occasional off road chants this is a great tire. As a rear wheel it usually lasts about 10 to 13k. For the price it can't be beat.

Seems like a good tire for the price! Have to put some miles on before I know how it holds up.
