⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Durable, Waterproof & Pet-Friendly — A Must for Dog Owners
This Active Pets dog car hammock is fantastic! The waterproof material keeps my backseat clean and protected from dirt, hair, and moisture — even after muddy walks and wet pups. It fits perfectly in the backseat and stays secure with the seat anchors and straps. My dog loves riding back there, and the hammock design keeps them comfortable while also protecting the sides of the seat. Cleanup is super easy — just shake it out or wipe it down, and it looks great again. If you want a reliable, easy-to-install seat cover that actually protects your car and makes rides cleaner and comfier for your dog, this is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Excellent Quality and Value, Keep an Eye Out for Deals!
As a dog owner constantly on the go, finding a reliable car seat cover is crucial. The Active Pets Premium Dog Car Seat Cover exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly, the material is top-notch. It's waterproof, protecting my seats from muddy paws and inevitable accidents. Cleanup is a breeze; a quick wipe or shake and it's good as new. The stitching and overall construction are durable, promising longevity that's essential when you have an energetic pup. Installation was straightforward, thanks to the adjustable straps that securely fit my SUV's backseat. Once in place, it stays put, even during spirited rides with my furry companion. What truly sets this cover apart is its versatility. Whether I'm driving around town or embarking on a road trip, it provides peace of mind that my seats are shielded from scratches and spills. Keep an eye out for sales! I managed to snag mine at a fantastic price, making it an even better investment. Excellent product that will last a while.
This was a great purchase and lasted me for about two years. I have two Lab/Rottweiler mix dogs that are about 45lbs each and they loved riding in the car with this. They were both pretty active, so it held up nicely under their paws and kept my seats in good condition, and kept them from climbing to the front. I had two Nissan Sedans and the size fit it well, but I think it could also fit in a bigger car. After two years one of the buckles for the strap broke. I will say that it's not necessarily the easiest to clean. Vacuuming the hair up is pretty effective, but the material is closer to a cloth-like material rather than a tarp like material if that makes any sense. The only reason I got rid of it is because my car flooded and it happened to be in the trunk and it got submeged under swamp water. I washed it in the washer twice, washed it by hand with a hose, line dried it, tried a white vinegar solution but I could NOT get the terrible swamp smell out of it, so I ended up just throwing it away. It is waterproof, but if it's urine that's the liquid, you might have difficult time getting the smell out of it if you don't wipe it up before it soaks into the material.

Good Fit, Easy Install
Excellent fit and coverage in Ford Maverick, secure straps around front and rear headrests. Textured surface not slippery. Seems durable but time will tell how it holds up over the next year or so with an active big dog.

Good Quality, Buying A 2nd For Another Car
Update 11-04-2025: Held up great so far! No tears. Original Post: I bought this for my Camry in January of 2023 (2 years 2 months ago at the time I am writing this) when we adopted our large German Shepherd mix. At the same time my husband bought another car hammock for his RAV4. He wanted a good quality hammock, not "a cheap one", and got one somewhere else for about $150 if I remember correctly. Anyways, the hammock in the Camry, this hammock, still looks great, nothing torn, while the expensive one my husband bought is torn to shreds in the center. So I am going to buy this hammock for him as soon as I am done writing this. Obviously it is good quality material, it covers everything, functions as expected, and it is so easy to clean. It was in the washer only just once, cold water delicate cycle, and hung to dry. Usually a spot cleaning is sufficient, the fabric cleans so easily.

Product tested, including warranty: Pup and Pup parent approved
True to form, this cover has survived multiple years of daily post muddy hikes and or Mt bike rides, regardless of terrain or precipitation. Muck, sand, snow, you name it, the hammock hasn't failed. After picking out my pup from a shelter, and processing all the paperwork, they transferred her to my arms saying she had already peed in a towel when they tried to pick her up a few minutes prior. They had graciously wrapped her in a new freshly laundered towel before handing her to me. And I held her away from my chest, my arms extended, just in case. She's my first ever pup Needless to say, I spent most of the hour long drive eyeballing that 5 month old rescue pup in the rearview mirror-- both terrified of what she might do to my car, and how my life might change. Especially how many things might get urinated on. I started a mental inventory and braced for the worst. A few days later, a friend recommended the Active Pets Hammock/ Seat Cover and I immediately ordered it ; Anything to protect my car given the unpredictable nature of the small creature's bladder. My fears were unwarranted however. She was house trained in a day and had only one or two accidents in public places in the months after. The hammock would mostly serve as a way to manage odor, muddy paws, and the onslaught of constantly shedding fur. Every so many months I'd drop the cover in the washer, let it air dry and return it to the back seat, making my car smell fresh and clean. One summer day, two years in, just I was letting down my guard, my pup and I drove to the ocean in search of a beach that would allow both human and dog to touch the water. For me a return to an awe inspiring landscape; for her a first time with new smells and strange winds and water. Finding a mere 100 feet under a bridge of sand and waves that would allow us both to put foot and paw in the water, she was beside herself with joy and trepidation. With so much mixed emotion, or perhaps the fact that she is super food motivated, she stress-ate an entire crab in one gulp. It happened in the blink of the eye before I could cry out, "No!" Several google searches later, I decided to hope for the best. Maybe it was that unsavory seafood choice or the lapping of the additional ocean water to get it down, but 20 minutes into the 2.5 hour car ride home, I heard the most horrible sound. Yep. It finally had happened. That thing I had feared most since day one. She had rejected the crab with some extra emphasis of bile right on the hammock. The very thing I had feared my whole pet ownership-- some form of bodily excretion from the pup in the car-- had just happened. Not 2 wks in or two months in, but 1.5 years after that first car ride home. At the next exit, I pulled over and walked her a bit and looked her over. She looked fine and happy. Relieved she was ok, I found a paper towel and a doggie bag and cleaned up the stinky mess in the backseat. Pulling up the cover, I was amazed. Nothing vile had made its way to the upolstry below. I rolled down the windows to get fresh air in the car again and we made the rest of the way home with her curled up in a ball on the other side of the backseat. This time, I checked on her in the rearview mirror, no longer worried about the fate of the fabric underneath the cover, but how she was faring post crab upchuck. Roughly two years in, the wash didn't go so well. The backing started to disintegrate into triangular pieces in the wash. My laundry room filled with plastic fabric confetti as did the washer. I took it outside and shook it out. The liner seemed shredded. I hated to have to dispose of it, but knew it wouldn't hold together much longer. And the crab incident was enough for me to see the value of replacing it. This time I reordered and saw the warranty on the cover. I reached out to Active Pets and they replaced it at no additional charge!

It's a good seat cover, not a great seat cover. F250 Crew Cab
This is one of the more expensive choices of full coverage seat covers on the market. But, I needed one and the one I wanted wasn't in stock. So, I tried this one. The biggest downside to this seat cover is that it can't be machine washed. Damp/wet cloth or rinse it in a shower. I'd much prefer one that could be machine washed, even on a gentle cycle, and there's no mention that it isn't machine washable in the description. I didn't like that at all. My other complaint is for my application, a 2017 Ford F250, the panel that covers the seat backs is about 4" too long while the panel that covers the back of the rear seat is too short. I understand it's a "one size fits all" approach. But I think they need to reconsider their dimensions a bit. Take 2" off the back panel and add 2" to the front panel. There are a few seams in mine where the stitching appears to be loose. All are in non-wear areas where it shouldn't matter. There are a few spots where the orange trim wasn't properly trimmed as well. Aside from that, I'm hopeful this will provide protection for my truck seat from 4 rambunctious Corgis that love to go for rides. It looks pretty good when installed and the width is perfect for my truck. All of the buckles on the cover I received seem to be attached securely to the cover. A couple of them have never met a puddle they didn't like and getting wet and muddy is their favorite sport. We occasionally take LONG road trips where keeping Corgis contained is a priority. I like the fact this type of cover presents a barrier of sorts between the rear seat and the front. It's not impenetrable, of course, but it greatly reduces the number of times one of the Corgis tries to get in the front seat and take over driving duties. When it's in the "hammock" position it also keeps them, for the most part, confined to the seat and discourages them from jumping to the floor and crawling around. So, this is adequate. But for the price I'd probably look for other options.

Good quality and safe
This is doing a great job of saving my leather seats and stopping my large greyhound from sliding around on the back seats and into the footwells. It fits perfectly in my car and was really easy to install as it just hooks over the headrests. The fabric feels nice and sturdy and is doing well so far. My dog seems to quite like it as she lays down straight away and stays down for the whole journey, so she seems to feel quite secure with it. I like that there are holes for the seatbelts so it’s really easy to use a dog seat belt with it. It did have a bit of a weird smell to start with and an almost greasy feel, but that goes away fairly quick.

Excellent Quality
I've had this seat cover for nearly 3 years. I have a big dog and I take her in my car a couple times a week She has ripped some of the top mesh layer, but has not damaged the actual cover at all. This cover protects my leather seats and keeps all the dirt on top - easy to clean. I've tossed in the washing machine a number of times and it comes out basically new. I can't see that it will ever need to be replaced, but if somehow or sometime that happens I will purchase this product again.

Not as big as you think
This product does not fit full size vehicles. Only mid size at best.

No Sirve
