convincing
I like this stuff and think it has helped me. I credit it with mending a thumbnail notch that I've had for at least two years. (I tried putting on moisturizers and taking silica, and they didn't do a thing.) It doesn't taste bad at all, though I need some kind of sweet flavoring to go with it. It mixes extremely well with yogurt, and it's not that hard to mix it with milk if you work at it a bit. I've also tried mixing it with granola and then adding milk or yogurt, which made an interesting texture and tasted decent. I'm not all that easy to convince, but the info on the company website and the label seems very genuine, very informative, and very convincing. It may even be worth the money! Update: In 2018 they had some kind of quality control issue and the jar seals failed. Two of my jars (out of an order of six) had some mold in them, and in two some of the whey powder had leaked out the seal before opening. All had faulty seals. I'm a fan of this company and their whey, so I was sorry to bring them this news, but when I discovered the full extent of the problem I asked for, and got, a full refund. Along with that, though, I would've liked some indication that they understood what happened and fixed it, or were working on fixing it. As it is, I can't endorse their product, and am looking for a new brand.

Finally found what I was looking for
I always wanted a protein without all the sugar and/or sugar alcohols in store powders. I guess it finally bothered me enough to look for this, and buy it. Just tried it and it is exactly what I wanted. Pure whey protein without all the junk. If you are accustomed to regular over-sweetened powders this may take getting used to. It is a welcome change for me. The directions say you need to use a blender. Turns out to be true. So it is a little more trouble to mix than I am used to. I just put a wire whisk attachment in a standard blender and immersed it in my glass for a minute. Then I ran clean water in the glass with the whisk after. It is clean enough to put away with an extra 2 minutes compared to the old spoon-stir method. Certainly worth the trouble. ----------------- Update - No blender required ----------------- With some experimentation I discovered an easy way to mix this without a blender. One weird trick to mix Protein 17 without a blender. 1) Put a couple scoops in the bottom of a dry glass. 2) Add about 1oz or less water. Just a little. 3) Mix with a stir stick. (I use an upside down chopstick) until it is the consistency of thick pancake batter. In just seconds the clumps disappear. 4) Add desired remaining water stir and enjoy. The trick is adding just the right amount of water initially. Perfectly smooth and ready to drink in 30 seconds. I timed it.

Quality is great, but it doesn't dissolve
I want to love this product, it's ingredients are excellent, but there are a couple of issues I have with it: 1) it does not dissolve in anything I have used it in. Very chunky, chalky, and I've tried all sorts of ways to liquify it so this does not happen. Nothing worked. Unless you finely sprinkle it over foods, but even then it just gets chunky. 2) You need two large scoops to get the protein and benefits from it that most other similar products only need one scoop. Not a huge issue, but, again, this stuff doesn't dissolve so the taste is highly impacted.

Very little chocolate and not sweet
I like the fact that it’s natural. You can tell by the look of it, it doesn’t have any fillers. It’s very fluffy in the container. The chocolate version doesn’t have much chocolate or coconut sugar, so it’s not very tasty unless you mix it in a smoothie with fruit. I like more chocolate and more sweetener in mine, so I mixed in raw cacao and monk fruit sweetener with the rest of the protein and that helped a lot with taste and right amount of sweetness. I may or may not buy this protein again. I’m still on the hunt for a healthy and tasty whey.

Good Protein Supplement
First of this I'm a male, with a sensitive stomach and lactose intolerance. I switched to this from Cytogainer. The quality of this protein is great. The first time I tasted it, I was not sure if I could drink it a second time without adding a sweetener. However the next day I drank it as if it was chocolate milk. I actually crave it now. Mixability is not great. I use Doug's method of only mixing 1oz of water first, and then adding the rest to be an effective method. Eliminates clumps and no need to use a blender. I consider myself a borderline bodybuilder. With this I have not noticed gains. However since starting this protein I have not been consistent with going to the gym and taking this. It does help me to maintain my hard earned size. With this product I have not experienced cramps, bloating or any side effects. I just ordered my second tub. Hopefully I will be more consistent and will revise this review. Abideen M.

Worst crap ever
I'm a personal trainer and already had a great organic plant-based protein powder, but decided I wanted whey instead of plant-based. After my mega-workout I mixed up up exactly like the directions said. I only used half the powder they said. My current mixes and tastes great so I assumed this one might be OK. I don't mind drinking some clumps that don't mix well. It's what I always expect. This powder wouldn't mix at all. I tried it and thought I would just consume it anyways. Holy yuck!! I mixed up my Gold Standard and will probably toss the rest in the garbage. I hope my review saves others.

Great tase and texture! Sweeten to taste, very easy to mix with other ingredients.
I get nervous about whats in protein powders these days. The ingredients are simple and straightforward. I got the Chocolate flavor, I like putting it in my blender with unsweetened almond milk, some stevia and a banana and a couple ice cubes. It’s perfectly smooth and slightly fluffy. The texture is good! This protein powder is low in sugar and can taste a bit blah without something sweet in it, in my opinion. So that’s why I add stevia and or banana. I’ve even put greek yogurt and oatmeal in it so it’s higher calories with some fiber.

Best Organic Protein for a Smoothie
Reason for use: Bodybuilding - going organic and "healthier" and need a protein source that qualifies. Also looking for soy free. Pros: Organic. Non-GMO. Grass Fed Cows. Minimal taste. Cons: Price per serving. Mix-ability. Overall: Excellent protein source. In a blender this protein is so creamy and delicious in a smoothie. The only issue is that you can not put in a shaker bottle. It needs to be put in a blender every time to be enjoyed. Recommendation: If you need an organic whey protein source to blend with your smoothies, which also has a lot of other pluses (Non-GMO, Soy Free, etc), then I would pick this one. Unstoppable in the blender, taste, creaminess and quality wise.
