Not cheap, but worth it
I got the gold one. Quality is immediately recognizable, as it's a bit thicker than the bargain versions, and the springs are tighter together meaning that they will capture more ice chips, pulp, etc. Fits onto a mixing glass with a satisfying "thwap", and you can pour confidently knowing it will stay put. It's going to cost you more than a cheap one, but if you've got the money and are serious about your mixology hobby, i think you will really be happy. Range of colour choices is great too.

Perfect hawthorne, barely need to double strain anymore
Bought this after hearing bad things about Cocktail Kingdom and their service. Glad I did because its a very hefty, solid hawthorne strainer that looks like its going to last forever. The availability of spare springs is great too. Glad I saw this on The Educated Barfly. I only wish that I could have gotten the stainless version instead of the copper. I dont really know how durable the coating/finish is and I dont really want it getting in drinks. Still a stellar product though.

If you're a bartender, you're gonna want these. I beat them to hell everyday at work and they don't fade or anything. If you're serious about bartending you need to buy these. Money spent well.

I didnt expect to love this one! When i use this i dont need another strainer i just use this one because it gets all the small ice, mint leaves etc! Even the egg whites!

Long lasting
Had this strainer for 5 years and recently got a new one to replace it. Absolutely love it!! Definitely holds up to the fast work pace I have.

Beautiful bar strainer -
I do like this gold bar strainer, it is gorgeous! a beautiful gold color that matches with the rest of my bar tools. I use it about 2-3 times a week for home cocktails. The downside is that the coil started chipping almost immediately! After 1 week of use the gold started peeling off, even though I hand wash it and don't use it too roughly.. So that does make me weary about if/when the strainer itself will start to chip.
