In my opinion, this compares with some of the other well known small business firewalls. I purchased this as an upgrade from an MX64 because this has better speed. To be fair, I'm a network engineer, so maybe this is overkill for my humble house. But, I will say that previous MX64 has saved me from having to re-image a PC, and has save a Firestick from a bitcoin exploit. The MX67 is just a bit more advanced, so I'm sure it will work even better. So, why buy this as opposed to an off-the-shelf router that costs far less? Well, you get a solid product that doesn't need to be restarted regularly, you get regular firmware updates, real-time checking for known malicious websites, customization similar to enterprise-level equipment (that can cost thousands more), threat detection, and guaranteed 24 hour support and replacement warranty. I've used their products for the last few years and I'm very satisfied. Review: Gray market Cisco hardware, no US warranty - Purchased three Cisco Meraki MX67 units from this seller. When I attempted to process a warranty RMA through Cisco, I received written confirmation that the units were originally shipped to a distributor in Israel and these were illegally sourced and resold. Cisco's policy requires RMA replacements to ship to the original address of record, which means these units carry no valid US warranty. This was never disclosed at the time of sale. The hardware was listed as new with no indication it was sourced from a foreign distribution channel. I contacted the seller multiple times over several weeks. They acknowledged the issue, escalated internally, and committed in writing to a definitive resolution by a specific deadline. That deadline passed with no response. Buyer beware if you are purchasing Cisco hardware from this storefront and expect valid US warranty coverage.
