If left outstide in the rain, would the contents inside get wet? (and rust my tools?)

This box is rain tight while sitting upright so tools wont get wet, but will still rust from the damp air. To store tools outdoors without rusting you need a lid that is air tight with a rubber gasket.

When looking at the pictures, there appears to be a molded piece in the bottom for holding paint jars. Is this piece removable?

I think that piece is part of the paint jar set. It's misleading because it is not part of the paint box. The only separate part is the tray. For it's size, the box is actually pretty roomy. Hope that helps.

Are the hinges pry resistant?

Keeping in mind that it is plastic. Yes the hinges are pry residents.
