WEN 61635 5-in-1 Pneumatic Multi-Function Tool with Scraper, Shovel, and Chisel Attachments

So so sweet! Powerful effective economical and extremely light. Won’t bust your B***s. I am a contractor and I have three sizes of electric jackhammers. I love this as I don’t have to lug it, especially if I’m having to hold it up horizontal to go sideways. Easy on the back and arms, too. Quiet. Fantastic for precision work. I have it paired with a super small brushless compressor, digital HCH 10L. Also quiet, phenomenal and lightweight.

Great - Absolutely great air hammer / shovel. I am cleaning up my crawlspace that is about 4' high. The original builders of the home did not level or remove the waste spoils when they dug the footers, and the inspector let them get away with it. The dirt stayed there for 25 years, when I retired I dove into making it look professional. I have spent a month sitting on my behind air shoveling the compacted piles of dirt. excellent tool. The upper handle is a little loose, no problem. This unit takes a lot of oil, I put 6 squirts into the hammer end receptor fitting, and three into the air fitting every day. 30 weight non detergent oil (the cheap stuff). It starts the best when you jam it into the dirt then squeeze the trigger. It has saved me hundreds of hours swinging a pick and shovel. When and if it dies, I will buy another one to use around the place.

The scraper tool that comes with this product keeps breaking on me. I used it to take up tile and the mortar that was underneath. It worked well on the tile. The tool keeps snapping on the mortar. The one that came with the tool snapped. I thought that was weird but maybe it was defective. I did not ask for a warranty replacement at that time. I actually ordered two more from WEN. They cost $40 each. I got two just in case. Sure enough, they both broke in the same place. They worked pretty good until they broke. I got about 3 hours of work in for each one before they broke. I have attached picture of the second and third ones. I did not keep the first. I have submitted a warranty claim now on all three. They have requested information such as pictures, proof of purchase and model, order numbers. As I said, I did not keep the first one so I have no picture of it. I will update upon hearing back from them. Update: The company sent me 3 replacements as I requested. The also threw in a chipper attachment. It was handled very professionally.

Working ok so far. I'm removing 400 sq. ft. of vinyl floor tiles with the scraper attachment. The tiles are really stuck on tight, but this tool is taking them off. I lightly oil the tool and attachment device about once every hour. Very noisy with the tool and the air compressor running. Ear plugs are necessary.

I have had two of these units now. The newest began to fail in only five minute. I have a 80 gallon compressor so plenty of CFM and air to run the tool. What happens is where the handle meats the orange piece EP grease starts to swap out. The handle then loosens and begins spinning. It's almost as if the factory couldn't get the handle and the bit to line up when at full torque so they backed it off. Wen needs to add a set screw or some thread locker to these units. The orange piece is actually in a couple sections. As you'll see in the other picture the black line is another section starting to come apart, the paint cracks and away she goes... It pretty much vibrates itself apart which is quite ironic

Bought the WEN air spade in August, 2025 but didn’t use it until January, 2026. It worked great on hard packed caliche, but unfortunately blew a seal after 10 minutes use. Unknown on the down time to get it repaired.

I bought this to scrape concrete floors more easily but I actually haven’t used it for that. I’ve used it to dig into dirt with many roots. It cuts right through the roots and digs into the toughest soil with ease. I love it. I’ve also used it to chisel off concrete where it wasn’t wanted from a recent pour. Worked great. This is such a versatile tool that I never thought I wanted. I’ve come to love WEN tools and have found them to be well built. This is another one of their gems.

Ok, this thing is stinking great! It goes right through hard ground like butter. While I was putting in a drain line to a French drain for my water softener digger helped me so much. After a heart attack last year this digger is helping me like crazy this year. Everyone who digs in the ground needs this tool. You do need an air compressor and hose too, don't forget these items.
