Great value. The '72 350 once again snorts and roars!
All 350 drive gears are not the same. This is not well known. My '72 C50 has an oval female slot to drive the male oval oil pump intermediate shaft. As my old drive gear was in ok condition, it turned out to be an easy exchange. The old drive gears do not seem to be available. It is possible to put a new oil pump, intermediate split fork shaft to fit this distributor flat blade distributor drive. This requires dropping the oil pan and changing with the new parts. Not as easy as changing drive gears.Amazing fit and finish. I had to accurately measure components to insure I could exchange drive gears and was impressed.Wires were also impressive and give lots more clearance to exhaust manifold.Truck starting and running were improved beyond expectations. Shipping took longer than expected but well within the stated time expressed. All around 5 of 5.

Wires too short. GREAT distributor.
The distributor itself is worth the cost. Perfect machining. Even the advance weights are stamped better than the last ACCEL curve kit I installed. But - Don't buy this thinking you're getting free spark plug wires. They are great quality, but just not long enough, or in correct lengths. Comes with 3 x 38"; 2 x 34"; 3 x 30" and a coil wire. (Even though this set is supposed to be for HEI). Most SBC Chevy wires have at least one 46" -50" wire for #2 since it crosses over #1. You will have a wire "waterfall" over the top of the CENTER of the valve covers. Ugly. Even includes an adjustable vac advance, BUT no instructions. After hooking up to vac pump & gauge, I determined that this is the type that limits the travel of the plunger, NOT the spring preload. You should already have a vac pump & gauge to set this up correctly. Pulled off one star ONLY because of the missing instructions. A 6 cent xerox cost them a star.

Nice unit
Have not installed yet but quality looks fine. Looks exactly like the original unit. Do expect to have any issues with installation. I will update when installed. I will not use the wire set. Wires are too short for my application
