Beemans 5 Piece Chewing Gum, 20 count

I loved this gum as a child and it tastes exactly as I remembered. Good for heartburn. The flavor doesn't last long, but it's a great product!

I treat myself to an order a few times a year as a treat. I then binge chew it. The flavor only lasts a few minutes so I treat a pack as one item. Sometimes I have 2-3 packs a day then I run out and I wait for the cravings to return. I seldom chew gum otherwise. How do you chew yours?

I bought this gum because I'm very sensitive to certain chemical additives, and especially aspartame. The ingredients listed on this product contain nothing that has ever bothered me in the past, not even BHT. However, I got a pretty dramatic neurological response within 5-30 minutes of chewing this gum. Mood swings, anxiety, confusion, etc. It was so extreme that I really couldn't be around people for a few hours. I couldn't believe that it was the gum, so I experimented with various candidates and 3 out of 3 times, it recurred shortly after chewing a few sticks, taking me half a day to completely recover each time. These are not common symptoms for me, and not the kind of thing that I might be just imagining per the power of suggestion -- they were very dramatic! I'd ordered this gum several times and had a couple of boxes sitting around. I sampled all the boxes to confirm the source of the problem. So if there's some kind of contamination, or if there are additives that are not listed on the label, it doesn't seem like it was a problem with just one batch. This is my personal experience and people who do not have the same chemical sensitivities that I do could well have no problem. However, being manufactured in Africa (Morocco), I wouldn't be surprised to find that there are things in this gum that are not listed on the label. Caveat emptor. For those who want gum that does not contain aspartame -- a neverending battle -- I'm now having success with Humble Co's and Impact Co's xylitol-sweetened chewing gums. It took me a while to warm up to the idea of considering a new sweetener, since I've had problems with several in the past, but xyloitol is an extract from birch bark, so at least it does occur in nature, which I guess might be worth something, so I finally gave it a shot. And my dentist confirms that xylitol is widely recognized by the medical community as being an effective cavity preventer. After a few months of chewing a lot of this stuff, no problems. But I wouldn't dare chew the Beemans again. Too bad b/c I really liked the taste.

Very delicious and gave me a taste of times long ago. I was very satisfied and would recommend this seller to others.

This was my dads favorite gum.

Purchased this for several friends. They used to purchase this brand and flavor when they were younger. They said this brings back goid memories.

This is not the Beeman's of my childhood. The texture is more waxy and the flavor, which never did last a long time, is gone even more quickly. I won't be purchasing again.

Absolutely a waste of my money. Do not buy this gum. Pop it in your mouth and you have 5 chews and the flavour is GONE. It appears to be very old and stale. I cannot see that I can return it either??? If the entire supply of this gum is old and stale please do not sell it to people!!!

I thought I could not buy Beeman gum anymore, but on Amazon it is amazing the items you can find.

It's ok tastes a little old but it's nostalgic lol
