Will this work with an 85w MacBook Pro?

Yes, it will work with the 87w USB-C power adapter that comes with a 2018 MacBook Pro. The original AC connection module slides off of the bulk of the transformer and this simply replaces it. Works great! One word of caution. The original AC connection module has the ability to fold the AC prongs back "flush" with the power adapter. When this module is attached, the AC prongs are "fixed" in place. Probably, if you do not move the adapter around much, that is okay. It does allow the adapter to fit close to the wall.
